Russell Albion Meyer (21 mars 1922, San Leandro, Californie - 18 septembre 2004, Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles) était un cinéaste et photographe américain, surtout connu pour avoir écrit et réalisé une série à succès de films sexploitation à petit budget, mêlant humour camp, satire mordante et femmes à forte poitrine. Ses œuvres les plus connues comprennent The Immoral Mr. Teas (1959), Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! (1965), Vixen! (1968) et Supervixens (1975) ; il a également réalisé le film de studio Beyond the Valley of the Dolls (1970) pour la 20th Century Fox. Il a écrit, réalisé, monté, photographié et distribué presque tous ses films lui-même. Note : IMDb donne son lieu de naissance comme Oakland, en Californie, tandis que Wikipedia donne San Leandro.
