Alexandra Silk, born Tamar Janine Reilly on September 19, 1963 in Long Island, New York, graduated from the State University of New York at Albany, began her adult career as a stripper in Las Vegas, was advised on entering the industry by Jenna Jameson and introduced to performers, directors and producers by Ron Jeremy, married fellow performer Luc Wylder, was nominated for the 2000 AVN Female Performer of the Year award, was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame in 2008 and the XRCO Hall of Fame in 2013, and by February 2010 had completed her internship to become a certified sex surrogate, which she calls her true calling.
