Roberta Findlay (born 30 December 1943 in New York City as Roberta Hershkowitz) is an American exploitation and horror film director, producer and cinematographer. She began directing hardcore films in the early 1970s, becoming the first woman to direct hardcore pornography, and later moved into horror and exploitation features. With her husband Michael Findlay she co-founded the Sear Sound recording studio. Note: Findlay herself has claimed a 1948 birth year and some sources suggest 1946; she was an adult under any of these dates when she began directing in the early 1970s.
