Toru Muranishi (born 9 September 1948, Iwaki, Fukushima, Japan; born Hiromi Kusano) is a Japanese adult video director. He began directing AV in late 1984 with Crystal-Eizou and founded Diamond Visual in September 1988, becoming known as the Emperor of Porn. He created the quasi-documentary style of AV and launched the career of Kaoru Kuroki, the first high-profile AV actress. His life is the subject of the Netflix series The Naked Director.
