William Margold (2 October 1943, Washington, D.C. - 17 January 2017) was an American pornographic film actor and porn film director. He acted in his first hardcore movie in 1972 at the age of 28 and worked in adult films for decades as an actor, director, writer and producer, appearing in celebrated titles such as Lust at First Bite (1978). He later became head of the trade advocacy group the Free Speech Coalition and co-founded the X-Rated Critics Organization (XRCO), Fans of X-Rated Entertainment (FOXE) and the PAW Foundation, a charity for performers. He was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame.
