Tetsuji Takechi (10 December 1912, Osaka, Japan - 26 July 1988), born Tetsuji Kawaguchi, was a Japanese theatrical and film director, critic and author. After a celebrated career staging experimental kabuki, he entered film in the 1960s and his Daydream (1964) was the first big-budget, mainstream pink film released in Japan. Arrested on indecency charges over Black Snow (1965), he won the lawsuit, opening the way for the wave of softcore pink films that dominated Japanese domestic cinema in the 1960s and 1970s. He remade Daydream in 1981 — Japan's first theatrically released hardcore film, starring Kyōko Aizome — and again in 1987, earning the titles 'Father of Pink' and 'Father of Japanese Porn'.
